Privacy policy

Last updated 2 October 2026

CalDesign collects no data about you. It has no account, no analytics and no advertising, and it sends nothing to us or to anyone else.

What the app reads on your Mac

CalDesign reads only what you give it, and only on your Mac. Your calendars are files that stay where you save them.

Network access

The app makes no network requests of its own. It has macOS's permission to connect to the network only because the system web view that draws its window needs it inside the App Sandbox. Holidays, fonts and everything else the app uses are built in.

Purchases

Purchases go through the App Store. Apple handles the payment, and we receive no payment or personal details. Apple's own privacy policy applies to them.

What exported files contain

Every page CalDesign exports (PDF, PNG, JPEG or TIFF) carries a short line in its metadata, the field that names the software that made it: the app's version, the kind of licence and, when the app knows it, the App Store's transaction ID for your copy of the app. For example: "CalDesign 1.0, Personal license 705927523475684642".

Apple assigns that number to your Apple Account's download of CalDesign. We cannot tell whose it is, but anyone who has the file can read it, and Apple could link it to your account. Most editors drop the line when they save a copy of the file. If you would rather share a file without it, remove the metadata before sending it (for example with ExifTool).

This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from other sites: its fonts and pictures are its own. Cloudflare hosts it and handles the requests your browser makes to it, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Children

CalDesign collects no data from anyone, children included.
